I painted this homage to Morrison 40x60 watercolor/acrylic loose-traditional. I figured if I wanted to paint Jim I would need to walk a mile in his shoes; I got way drunk before I painted this. From start to finish I would say about 12-20 Miller Lite bottles and about two hours of painting. Probably 1.5 hours falling over myself drunk with a good half-hour of drawing and splashing paint on the canvas.
I find that 1-3 drinks lightens the blockage that holds your creativity hostage, but any more than that the creativity gets drunk and you can easily ruin any progress you have made. Darque wisdom |
